Sustainable Management of Natural Resources and the Environment
February 11 2022AgroParisTech takes part in a broad range of scientific activities and projects that work to further environmental protection, the sustainable management of natural resources, and the preservation and promotion of biodiversity.
Measuring and Limiting Impact
AgroParisTech studies the environmental impact of agricultural and forestry activities and develops new knowledge and methods for treating water and waste, improving quantitative water management, protecting and making the most of water, soil, and forest resources, preserving and restoring biodiversity, etc. It offers benchmarks and predictive modeling techniques that make it possible to measure, anticipate, and manage ecological risks at different scales.
A Multifaceted, Integrative Approach
Understanding how human societies interact with the environment and how species, ecosystems, and societies adapt requires the use of multidisciplinary approaches that combine the work of mathematicians, IT specialists, agronomists, ecologists, economists, climatologists, and social scientists. This kind of interdisciplinary approach allows meaningful integrative solutions to emerge, giving us the tools to manage our natural resources and the environment.
