Think and Make Challenge
June 24 2022Think and Make Challenge: What is it?
Launched by AgroParisTech and INRAE, the Think and Make Challenge is an invitation to students who want to find solutions to the challenges of our evolving world and keen to discover entrepreneurship. This innovation challenge is for students who want to learn, but do not yet have a clear project in mind. With the Think and Make Challenge, students and researchers form a team to innovate and develop impactful projects aimed at:
-
Accelerating the transition to agroecological farming and food systems;
-
Developing a global approach to health and preventive nutrition around the One Health concept;
-
Encouraging the development of a sustainable, circular bioeconomy;
-
Feeding humankind through sustainable land management;
-
Preserving natural resources;
-
Mitigating environmental change and associated risks;
-
Protecting our environment and biodiversity.
Think and Make Challenge: Who is it for?
The Think and Make Challenge is for all members of the AgroParisTech student community: engineering students, Masters students, auditing students in specialized Masters, as well as teacher researchers with valuable projects or findings.
Think and Make Challenge: What is the process?
The Challenge involves six steps.
-
1st step: researchers and teacher researchers file an online application;
-
2nd step: individual interviews with project leaders;
-
3rd step: researchers and teacher researchers pitch their project to students;
-
4th step: teams are formed;
-
5th step: coaching (in groups, then individually);
-
6th step: projects are pitched to a panel of experts.
Think and Make Challenge: What are its advantages?
With the Think and Make Challenge:
- Students interested in entrepreneurship can team up with researchers and experts in their field who want to develop an idea or a project, or promote results through an entrepreneurial approach.
-
Teacher researchers can team up with qualified, motivated students who want to change the world and get involved in impactful projects, as a way of developing their ideas and promoting their results.
