ARFAGRI-BRAFAGRI
June 16 2022Under the bilateral ARFAGRI and BRAFAGRI programs, faculty from AgroParisTech can take advantage of travel grants for their activities with some of our Brazilian and Argentinian partners, which serves to further our partnerships with these institutions and the development of these collaborative programs.
To foster exchanges with partners in Argentina—the ARFAGRI program—and Brazil—the BRAFAGRI program—the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, through its Research and Education Division (DGER), awards grants to the higher education institutions under its authority. These grants are primarily intended for students, but can also, in some circumstances, be awarded to faculty and researchers who contribute to the advancement of these programs by traveling to these countries in participating foreign higher education institutions.
Faculty members interested in taking advantage of this opportunity should first check the descriptions of the ARFAGRI and BRAFAGRI programs in which AgroParisTech to ensure that the Argentinian or Brazilian institution is eligible before contacting Nicolas Pokrovsky at the DRIE (Department for International and European Relations). He will examine the faculty member’s request and, if the proposed travel plans are eligible, send the necessary documents to be filled out (program participation form, etc.).
Funding: After the faculty member’s return and upon provision of documents proving of his or her expenditures, a fixed grant of €1,000 will be paid to the budget account responsible for covering the travel expenditures (or directly to the faculty member if they covered the cost of airfare).
