AgroParisTech’s Views on Ethics and Professional Conduct

AgroParisTech has had an internal reflection and evaluation unit on ethics and professional conduct since late 2016. It includes 15 permanent members comprising:  

• students; 

• Ph.D. students; 

• researchers;  

• administrative and technical staff; 

• personnel;  

• an external member. 

The Ethics and Professional Conduct Unit conducts research and issues advisory opinions on a wide range of issues that arise at AgroParisTech or involve the institution. These issues include: 

• education; 

• research;  

• consulting; 

• the institution’s inner workings; 

• external communications. 

The Ethics and Professional Conduct Unit issues advisory opinions. It relies on several resources:  

• a specially created glossary; 

• the AgroParisTech Ethical Charter;  

• a handbook on the rules of conduct applicable to each department.
