Erasmus+ Staff Teaching Assignments
July 26 2022The Erasmus+ Staff Teaching Assignments (STA) program allows teaching staff to exchange field-specific expertise and experience and discover new educational techniques while teaching courses included in the curriculum of the host institution.
Staff teaching assignments take place within the context of existing Erasmus agreements between a home institution and a host institution.

Eligible Countries
Staff Teaching Assignments are only available for countries participating in the Erasmus+ program:

the 27 European Union Member States;

the 3 EFTA Member States: Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway;

the Republic of North Macedonia;
-
Serbia;
-
Turkey.
Note: While the United Kingdom has left the European Union and will also leave the Erasmus+ program, the Erasmus mobility agreements already in place will remain in force until the end of the 2021-2022 academic year.
Length of the Staff Teaching Assignment
For staff teaching assignments with European partner institutions, the length of the teaching assignment must be at least 2 days (8 hours minimum teaching time) but can extend to as many as 6 days of teaching.
Note: holidays and weekends are not counted unless those days are used for work or travel.
Objective of the Assignment
Teaching courses within the official curriculum of the partner institution.
The aim of this program is to improve the quality of teaching in Europe by fostering the acquisition and sharing of knowledge and expertise while strengthening cooperation between different institutions. In addition to the benefits students, teachers, and host establishments derive from these assignments, this program increases the visibility AgroParisTech’s exchange agreements.
Procedure

You will first need to select an AgroParisTech Erasmus+ partner institution and contact a faculty member there to ask whether they would be willing to host you as a guest lecturer in one of the institution’s teaching departments (master’s level courses).

If they accept, you can contact Nicolas Pokrovsky at the Department for International and European Relations (nicolas.pokrovsky@agroparistech.fr), who will assess the feasibility of the project (as very few grants are actually available under this program) and provide you with a list of documents to complete before your trip (one of which is the Teaching Agreement).

Funds for travel and accommodation under the STA program are disbursed after returning from the assignment, upon provision of documents serving as proof of the teacher’s expenditures (a list of which will be provided), in accordance with the following scale (subject to modification):
